The LT2 oil pump is an even more complex LT oil pump then previous LT Gen V pump systems. The LT2 system in whole has 3 Gerotor scavenge sections in addition to variable delivery pressure section. This is a great improvement in scavenge capacity over previous C7 LT1/LT4 dry sump pumps. For this reason, Katech does not modify the scavenge sections of this pump and only looked to improve the pressure section capability and output. The ge-rotor sections are still measured, inspected and pre-lubed to ensure correct break-in of gears following engine build.
